Healthcare Attorney (All Stoel Offices)
Role Overview
Stoel Rives LLP seeks an experienced attorney to join the Health Care Group. Candidates must have at least 5 years’ experience working with health care clients on federal and state regulatory issues.

Healthcare Regulatory Attorney (Portland or Seattle)
Role Overview
Stoel Rives LLP seeks an experienced attorney to join the Health Care Group in the Portland or Seattle office. Candidates must have a minimum of 5-6 years’ experience working with health care clients on regulatory and licensing issues.

In addition to base compensation, Stoel Rives has a total rewards program that includes an annual discretionary bonus and rich benefits offerings. - Experience advising healthcare entities on issues related to Medicare, Medicaid, or other government health programs.
- Experience advising healthcare entities on health care operations, including licensing and medical staff issues.
- Familiarity with advising hospitals and health systems, physicians and physician organizations, behavioral health providers, pharmacies, managed care companies, federally qualified health centers, medical device manufacturers and distributors, and a variety of health care industry vendors.
- Experience on matters involving HIPAA and other health information privacy and security regulations, such as experience in negotiating business associate agreements, data use agreements, and data transfer agreements; conducting HIPAA risk analysis; data incident response and breach notification (including risk assessments); and electronic health records.
- Experience advising clients on federal antikickback and Stark regulations.
- A commitment to client service and team success.
- JD from an accredited university; and
- Membership in the state bar for the market where you are applying, or the ability to become barred in that state.

- Experience with Oregon or Washington State health care regulations, state health care authority and/or office of insurance commissioner/department of insurance.
- Familiarity with enforcement for healthcare entities related to Medicare, Medicaid, or other government health programs.
- Prior experience in negotiating business associate agreements, data use agreements, and data transfer agreements; conducting HIPAA risk analysis; data incident response and breach notification (including risk assessments); and licensing of electronic health records.
- Experience with issues concerning Medicare or Medicaid reimbursement, health care operations, and/or medical staff a plus.
- Familiarity with other state and federal security requirements a plus (e.g., 42 CFR Part 2).
- Privacy or information security certification (e.g., CIPP/US, CISSP, CHISSP) preferred but not required.
- A commitment to client service and team success;
- JD from an accredited university; and
- Membership in the Oregon or Washington State Bar strongly preferred.
