Role Overview
Stoel Rives’ San Diego office seeks a mid-level associate with 3-5 years of construction litigation and/or contract drafting experience for the Firm’s Construction and Design section. You will partner with a team of experienced attorneys to work on negotiating construction and design contracts as well as a wide variety of litigation matters related to construction projects, both public and private. The role is a significant opportunity to practice both important transactional and high-stakes litigation matters.
Members of our team can expect meaningful interactions with local, regional and national clients, involvement in major development projects, high-quality mentoring and training, and cross-office collaboration among Stoel Rives’ ten offices in seven states and Washington, D.C.

Mid-Level Corporate Associate

Role Overview
Stoel Rives LLP is seeking an associate attorney with 3-5 years of experience to join its Corporate Practice Group. The ideal candidate will have law firm experience in general corporate work, M&A, debt and equity financings, fund formation, and/or other business transactions. Members of our team have a deep understanding of our clients’ strategic objectives and work directly with our clients and with colleagues across offices and practice groups. The associate in this role will be expected to have strong drafting and communication skills, including the ability to independently produce client-ready documents and to contribute to our team-based culture.

Real Estate Associate — Boise, ID
Role Overview
Stoel Rives is seeking an associate with 5-7 years of experience for its Real Estate and Construction team to sit in the firm’s Boise office. The associate will work closely with clients who are national leaders in the agriculture, renewable energy, timber and mining industries, as well as other local and regional real estate developers, owners and operators. The associate will negotiate and close complex real estate purchase and sales agreements, commercial leases, debt and equity financings and other transactions.

Debt Finance Associate — Portland, OR
Role Overview
The Portland office of Stoel Rives LLP is seeking an associate attorney with 3-6 years of experience to join its Corporate Practice Group. The ideal candidate will have law firm experience focused on structuring, negotiating and documenting secured and unsecured debt finance transactions with both traditional financial institutions and private credit. Experience with sponsor-backed M&A, and a working understanding of common intercreditor and collateral issues in mezzanine, unitranche and split-lien structures is preferred.
Members of our team can expect to benefit from working with both company and lender-side clients on mid-market and larger transactions. Our finance work involves an array of industries, including agribusiness, consumer products, tech and forest products. Attorneys in this role often interface with colleagues across offices and practice groups, and should expect to regularly work directly with partners and clients. The associate in this role will independently produce client-ready documents, manage project workstreams and will work with others on complex transactions.

You will work on complex commercial real estate development, investment, and financing transactions in Oregon and other states across a variety of asset classes including office, industrial, multi-family, renewable energy, agriculture, and timber. You can expect to work on real estate purchase and sales, mergers and acquisitions, debt financing, opinions, development and construction, and leasing. About Stoel Rives and the Corporate Team
The Project Finance group of Stoel Rives LLP is seeking an associate attorney with 5-9 years of experience to join its Corporate Practice Group focusing on project finance, including debt and tax equity, and M&A, with an emphasis on renewable energy-related transactions. Although many members of the project finance group sit in our Seattle office, we will consider applicants to sit in any of our other offices. The individual must have experience managing deals and teams independently. Many of our colleagues did not start their career as the “traditional project finance associate” and their diverse perspectives are valued. You are encouraged to apply even if you don’t think you have deep experience in all the activities typically associated with a senior project finance associate.
Members of our team can expect to benefit from working with clients on mid-market and larger transactions involving solar, wind and energy storage projects. Attorneys in this role often interface with colleagues across offices and practice groups and spend time on telephone and video calls with our clients. The associate in this role will independently produce client-ready documents and will work with others on complex transactions.
