Corporate - Labor & Employment (In-Office Role)
Katten is seeking a highly qualified Fellow to join its Corporate Department to focus on employment and labor matters. Candidates can be based in any U.S. Katten office.
Candidates should have at least 8 years of employment law work experience at a nationally recognized law firm. Candidates should have specific experience:
Advising clients in employment-related compliance, including worker classification, wage and hour, immigration, unions and collective bargaining, employment policies and handbooks and equal opportunity laws.
- Drafting employment agreements.
- Drafting separation agreements and advising on reductions-in-force and WARN Act issues.
- Drafting and advising on restrictive covenants.
- Conducting employment-related diligence and handling employment related reps and covenants in transaction documents is a plus.
All candidates must have excellent academic credentials, strong writing skills, superior organization skills, and a strong client-team focused work ethic. Candidates should be members in good standing of (or eligibility to waive into) the bar of the Katten office where they will be based.
