Natalie is a creative and proven problem solver with over 15 years of experience counseling employers on diversity & HR strategies, compliance, and litigation. Natalie has worked with global employers in various industries including quick services restaurants, manufacturing, financial services, and healthcare. Natalie firmly believes that there is no “one size fits all” approach to HR and diversity strategies. Having come from a diverse upbringing and worked with employers across the globe, Natalie draws on her varied experiences to customize strategies that are unique to an organization. Natalie’s experience includes having:

  • Counseled, developed strategies and provided training regarding issues that include diversity programs, reductions in force, reasonable accommodations, employee handbooks and policies, affirmative action planning, discipline and termination;
  • Investigated claims of harassment, discrimination and retaliation in the public and private sectors including for entities subject public records laws, nonprofits, financial institutions, and publicly held corporations; and
  • Defending related claims brought before administrative agencies and in federal and state courts.

 

Natalie was responsible for developing diversity and inclusion strategies for iconic, multibillion brands. With the backing of lean Six Sigma problem solving methodology, Natalie has:

  • Utilized metrics to identify correlations and drivers of high-performance employees to help close gaps and foster overall employee engagement;
  • Identified innovative paths to attract and retain diverse talent;
  • Developed short- and long-term plans to increase minority representation and ownership in a franchised system;
  • Ensured that community relationships align with the organization’s overall philanthropic mission;
  • Developed and delivered a broad range of inclusion and HR training to highlight the organization’s position on diversity and related expectations for employee conduct; and
  • Developed communication plans to convey the organization’s position on diversity.

 

Having earned her bachelor’s degree in International Affairs from American University and her law degree from The George Washington University Law School, Natalie understands the value of a well-rounded education. As a result, Natalie is passionate about supporting mentoring and educational opportunities for underserved youth. She currently serves on the board of directors for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Miami, which is one of the first chapters in the United States to both own its own facility and provide direct services to underserved youth.
